The Good Lawyers

What do we think of lawyers? Sometimes, we imagine them as people who are wearing flashy suits, with elegant poise and posture. They charge amounts of $300 per hour to talk about law terms that we don’t understand. We think that they are people who want to use their skills and knowledge in court to make all the people believe that what he and his client is telling is the total truth. We all believe that they are just here to earn all the money they can get from their clients and represent them in court.

What we don’t know is that there are lawyers who are still there to actually help the people who cannot get support from the government. There are many lawyers who did not get into law just for the big salary or to run for a political position. In all municipalities, there are many lawyers who give their services to people and defend them against the unfair system of the jury. They are there to end injustice and to achieve a fair result to anyone who can’t afford to hire lawyers asking for the biggest pay.

Many of us may know these lawyers who actually work for free. We have our friends who are willing to give their service and defend you in any way. It has been a tradition for many years now. Good lawyers make themselves available to defend any one who has been charged or accused falsely. They aim to achieve fair results. As lawyers being defined, they are here to stand between the government and the people to support who is falsely blamed for something that he did not actually do.

The Bar Association of America has the aim of having their members achieve high standards on accountability and public domain. Public domain can be achieved when they use their knowledge and talents as well as their abilities when providing service to the people. A dedicated lawyer spend long hours for his work to be able to do all necessary research and reports on a certain case. A good lawyer is there to offer his services to anyone who cannot afford to hire a lawyer.

The American Bar Association has requirements for all lawyers to be known. They should have acquired an average of 50 hours in a year for him to become a member of the American Bar Association. The “Pro Bono Publico” or sometimes called the “Pro Bono” is a work done by the lawyers, which literally means “in the public good”. This task proves that the Bar Association does not give importance only to the money that they receive. This task also sends a message to all lawyers who want to join their association that it is very important and pleasing to them if they can do this simple job to any one who needs it. The duties of a lawyer don’t just end in giving free services to the public. They are also available to assist and help other professionals or employees in their community. They can be employed together with dentists, doctors, construction people, and other professionals.

As a conclusion, let us not judge lawyers by what we hear or how we see them in television or movies. We should realize that there are still many good lawyers out there who actually care and is willing to help us in our problems.
